Christmas Letter - 2006

CHRISTMAS 2006

Dear,

Christmas is many things to many people--from the eager, wishful, materialistic grasping of a child for a present to the deep spiritual thankfulness of the mature heart for the gift of a Savior.  My Christmas greeting this year includes that whole range--newborn to mature heart.  If there is one common denominator, perhaps it is this: Christmas is LOVE.  I want you to know that I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH.

Christmas is the time when the bonds of family love go beyond distance and “hurry/worry” that the season brings.  It is a time when love of family rises above the petty day-to-day irritations, and doors swing open to give and receive expressions of appreciation and affection.

May your celebration of the first Christmas bring you peace and joy on this special clay, and create memories to cherish for years to come.  It is my wish for you that the peace and joy of that first holy night be yours this Christmas, and may we all feel a special closeness to Him whose birthday we commemorate.

Please, always remember that I love you.  Best wishes for a wonderful Christmas.

Love,
Grandma Bateman
