Christmas letter -2005

A personal note…
Christmas 2005
Dear,
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I hope you are looking forward to this special day with excitement and anticipation; and that Santa Claus pays you a really, truly wonderful visit.  I wish that I could be there with every one of you, for that would be the sweetest time of all.  But my truest and best wish is that you remember the reason for this the best-of-all seasons.
Since the number of my great-grandchildren is growing by “leaps & bounds” it is sadly necessary for me to cut back on gift-giving in the traditional way.  BUT….DON’T EVER FORGET THAT OU ALREADY HAVE THE BEST GIFTS I CAN GIVE YOU; A SOUND HERITAGE AND MY LOVE!!!
I want you to know that I understand and appreciate this time of year.  I do know the reason for the season.  I hope, in all the bustle, that you can stop for a moment and recognize the importance of the Savior and his atonement in your life.  I KNOW that except for Him and his willing sacrifice for me and all my wonderful posterity—no matter how successful in worldly ways nor how many accolades, recognition, accomplishments or achievements—we would all be lost without Jesus Christ, the Actual, living Son of God.
I am very proud of you and pray that you will always remember who you are, a son of God and  conduct your life in accordance with His will and commandments.  And that would be the best of all Christmas gifts that you could give me.
I love you so very much, and my daily prayers include you, asking Heavenly Father to bless you with the things you need to be well, happy and successful.
Love,
Grandma Bateman
