Brian Kent Bateman
West Jorday-Brian Kent Bateman, age 27, returned to his Father in Heaven June 19, 1992 from complications of an aoritic aneurysm.
He was born September 7, 1964 in Murray, Utah to Kent Greer and Sharon Naylor Bateman. Married Cheryl Grondahl in Salt Lake City, Utah on August 7 1985. Their marriage was solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple July 7,1987. Brian was an active member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting with his brothers and all outdoor sports. He was successful in anything he attempted and in doing so, he touched many lives.
Brian was a wonderful husband, father, son and brother. He leaves a host of friends who loved him dearly and he will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors: wife, Cheryl; children, Justin, Kyle, Joshua and a fourth on the way, all of West Jordan; parents, West Jordan; brothers and sisters, Alison and husband, Curtis Sandall, Heath Bateman and wife, Kathy, Kirt Bateman, Andrea Bateman, all West Jordan; Brent and wife, Terri, Walnut Creek, California; grandparents, Dean and Sybil Bateman; Helen Naylor, all West Jordan; father-in-law, Melvin Grondahl, West Valley City; also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Calvin and Christine Grondahl, Layton; Mrs. Craig (Connie) Shields, Daniel Grondahl, both Salt Lake; Mrs. Michael (Carol) Hofhine, Evanston, Wyoming; Charlene Grondahl, California; Christopher and Janeen Grondahl, New York.
Funeral services Tuesday, June 23, 1992 at 11:00 a.m. in the West Jordan River LDS Stake Center, 1380 West 6785 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State, Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday at the stake center from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Place of burial to be announced. (He was buried in the West Jordan Cemetery at 7800 S. 1300 W.)
